Who?
Albino Tavares is an editorial and institutional designer focusing on books and identities.
He approaches design as a content-driven and collaborative process, working closely with editors, authors and institutions. His practice centres on long-form publications such as books and exhibition catalogues, with a strong emphasis on typographic systems, structure and content clarity.
Albino believes communication design plays an active role in how knowledge, culture and ideas are shared. His work seeks to enhance content through considered editorial structures and formally defined graphic systems, balancing rigour with space for visual experimentation.
He collaborates with publishers, cultural institutions and public bodies, and works independently on editorial projects, institutional publications and longer-term collaborations.
